About

Addiction has no boundaries or limitations when it comes to culture, country, income, or race. Substance misuse and abuse are global issues that can be combated through education. In 2004 and 2005, Utah led the nation in nonmedical use of prescription drugs, with 6.5 percent of the population using drugs without a doctor’s order. In the year 2006, more Utahan’s died as a result of over-the-counter or prescription drug over doses than in automobile accidents. This blog aims to educate Utah County residents about the signs of addiction, current events and related facts within the County, where to turn to for help and provides a system of support for those who are dealing with the burden of addiction. Due to a considerably larger per capita LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) population, some of the information on this blog is targeted towards this audience.
